Our Story
Dan Derek Painting, Inc. is a company I started over thirty years ago, named after my oldest son and daughter. My family has played a huge role in the establishment and longevity of the company. Prior to running a painting business, I was working on the assembly line at General Motors. It was a great learning experience and a stepping stone that pushed me in the direction of having something of my own.
At twenty six years of age, I decided that starting a painting company was a great option. It was something I had a good grasp on and I decided that it was worth pursuing. In those early years, my younger brother and his friends would come help me during the summer. As time went on and the business expanded my older son, Derek, joined me until he eventually went on to start his own business in construction. In search of expanding the services we offer, I eventually brought on a highly skilled and experienced carpenter, who has an eye for detail. That was fifteen years ago. More recently, my youngest son, Ryan, has joined me in the day to day operations as we look to expand our presence online and throughout the Hudson Valley region.
